Hi Everyone. Just wanted to give you all a quick update on the status of operations of my websites, adventures, business, blog, and everything else during the COVID-19 pandemic. I am making every effort to minimize the disruption during these unprecedented times. However, as we learned this week, things can change very quickly.

Most importantly, my business will continue to operate as close to business-as-usual as possible. I run the business out of my home office even when we’re not in the middle of a pandemic. I am not anticipating any significant disruptions to business operations at this time. However, given the fluidity of the pandemic, I expect there will be some delays along the way. Our health and safety need to be the number one priority right now.

Important Announcement on Specific Operations

  • Preparations for the pandemic have delayed announcements of new maintenance plans. I anticipate being able to formally announce the new maintenance plans by early April, if not before.
  • To help ease the economic impact, I extended due dates for all invoices issued on or after February 15, 2020 from 30 to 60 days after invoice’s issue date. I will evaluate these due dates week-by-week and extend them as needed. As always, if you have any extenuating circumstances, please let me know so we can make alternative arrangements.
  • For those of you who pay by check, I am trying to minimize my trips into the city. When your check arrives, it will likely sit on my desk for a while. I can get all of my basic essentials (groceries, fuel, pharmacy, hardware store, etc) in a small town nearby, but I have to go into the city to do my banking. I will send out confirmations by email when your check arrives, and again when I deposit it. If you have any questions or need any updates on the status of your payments, please reach out to me anytime.

I will post regular updates to business operations to this blog, so please check back often. I will post critical announcements on the home page of the Matthew Gove Web Development website as well.

I have suspended all operations indefinitely, effective Tuesday, March 10, 2020. This was a painful, but necessary decision. Photography and running the website are both just hobbies of mine. Traveling, even just locally, is not just inappropriate, it’s not worth the risk. There is so much that is currently unknown and we don’t know how bad the pandemic could potentially become. Things will resume once the pandemic subsides and it becomes appropriate to continue adventuring.

I will, however, continue to post the few remaining pictures from my adventures in Nevada and California earlier this year. I will post updates here and on the home page of the website.

This Blog

I will continue to post to this blog on its normal, routine schedule. In fact, may even post to it more often since I’ll be staying home until the pandemic subsides. The topics I’m posting about may change slightly, but it will still be the same content you’re all used to.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this unprecedented time. Stay safe, and stay healthy.
